Namaskar!

This is Amey Arun Shirke . I am a Mechanical Engineer by Degree and currently based in Pune (born and brought up in Mumbai but earning in Pune). I work for a corporate company from Monday to Friday and on Saturday I am booked for household work.

But the best day of the week, Sunday, is always booked for my passion i.e. Riding.

I own a Bullet Standard 500cc – who is well known as RaamPyaari. It’s been more than 4 years we (me and RaamPyaari) are in love with each other. I have traveled a lot from Pune-Konkan, Pune-Mumbai, Pune-Goa, Pune-Nashik, Pune-Ladakh-Pune and many more places which are close and far from Pune.

In fact we ride on every Sunday with KRRC group so it’s very difficult to choose the memorable ride among all but to justify with one answer – the most memorable ride with KRRC was the Explore Ladakh 2019 ride. In this ride we (me and RaamPyaari) covered a distance of 6,350 kms. (Pune-Ladakh-Pune).

For me riding a motorcycle is like becoming a hero of the roads. When you ride with full gears and safety people will notice you and keep looking at you, which will bring a smile on your face. Every small child who looks at me wants to be like me – A Rider.

My advice to new riders would be, you will learn a lot about a motorcycle when you ride.

Concentration and response time increases when you start riding regularly as your whole body is active (eyes to see, ears to hear, hands to operate clutch & throttle and legs to operate brake & gears).

The skills of rider will be developed as you keep on riding regularly.

I always have a riding mantra in mind – You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a bike and ride to the place where you always wanted to be!
